ABOUT SHRIANE DREAM PHOENIXX
Experience
I first became interested in voice acting as a teacher. I would make up stories and tell them to the children based off of their suggestions. I would create characters and voices to go along with the stories; it was the most satisfying job I’ve ever had. When I found out I could do something similar for a career, I jumped at the chance.
For the last year I have trained online, at seminars and on location at North Seattle College with Such-A-Voice. I have worked extensively on commercial voice over, narration and character work; I am constantly honing and developing my skills. My studio (a Focusrite Scarlett Solo USB 2.0 Audio Interface, XLR Mic Cable, Scarlett CM25 Condenser Microphone with pop filter, and HP60 Scarlett Headphones connected to a dual Asus monitored 2016 Dell Inspiron 3847: Intel Core i5-4460 CPU @3.20GHz that has 8GB of RAM with a 64 Bit Operating System running Windows 10 Home, using Audacity 2.1.0 for recording and editing software) is in Seattle, Washington where I live with my wife Valerie, dog Alaska and cat Kevin.
Background
For the last 3 years I worked as the Marketing Director for a home restoration company in Orlando, Florida. I would write copy and design marketing materials, work with homeowners and insurance companies, put on presentations about my teams progress and teach my team how to sell, as well as being the face to the media. Before moving into the Marketing Director position, I broke each of the company’s sales records as a salesmen; I attribute those successes to my thorough documentation and customer service skills. I have worked in sales, customer service or teaching my entire professional career.
Public Speaking & Theater
For over twenty years I have trained as an actor, specializing in improvisation. I have visited venues all across the country reading my poetry, excerpts from my novel, and doing stand up comedy. Most recently, I performed at SAK Comedy Lab in Orlando in front of a sold out crowd, and then at Jet City Improv in Seattle. My troupe and I currently meet weekly as we prepare for our upcoming shows. Needless to say, I have always felt very comfortable performing and being in the spotlight.
